Last Sunday, when I was reading a book and had just come to the most interesting part,my little brother, Tex, rushed into my room.

"Look at these cool paper airplanes I have made!" Tex shouted, throwing one directly at my head.

I didn't want to read aloud. Sensing my bad mood, Tex decided to cheer me up.He dashed out of the room and returned a minute later with a basket full of stuffed animals.

"A teddy bear picnic?" he asked.

"No, Tex. Not today." I refused.

I went to the living room and threw myself into a chair. Tex stood in the doorway, very disappointed and embarrassed. Although I knew Tex was just trying to help, I couldn't shake off my bad mood.

Just then, my friend Ollie arrived. He had a brand-new basketball and suggested that we head to the park and try it out. I sighed and lied that I was too busy. Curious about my strange behavior, Ollie asked what had happened. I told him Tex had interrupted my reading and for some unknown reason, it had put me in a really bad mood. Ollie then mentioned that when he was in a bad mood, he tried to engage in some activities in a new environment.

"I'd love to explore a tropical island!" I joked.

"Not that kind of activity!" Ollie protested." I mean skateboarding, playing basketball,or just going out for a walk. Exercise will make you feel better. Come on!"

Exercise was the last thing I wanted to do when I felt unhappy. But it was hard to turn down his offer.

"Maybe you are right." I sighed, again.

注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右;

When we got on our bikes and were ready to leave, Tex looked up at Ollie with eager eyes.

Tex's eyes lit up, and he promised without a second thought.

When we got on our bikes and were ready to leave, Tex looked up at Ollie with eager eyes. My heart sank when Ollie parked his bike and approached Tex. He put one of his hands on Tex's shoulder and said cheerfully,"Hey, buddy. How about going to the park with us? You can take your animal friends with you and prepare a picnic for us there. I am sure that your picnic will be ready when your brother and I finish playing basketball. "

Tex's eyes lit up, and he promised without a second thought. Before he climbed onto the back seat of Ollie's bike, he even returned to the bedroom to take the storybook with him. Tex did much better than I had expected. During the game, he occupied himself with preparing a picnic. Occasionally, he would fetch the ball for us. I even laughed, guiltily, when he said to one of his animal friends who“ asked” him to read a story,"Didn't you see I'm not in the mood to do that now?"

Unwillingly, I agreed to go to the park with him. Ollie’s relentless energy was contagious: we raced to the court, shot hoops, and even attempted ridiculous trick shots. Mid-laugh, I spotted Tex hiding behind a tree, clutching his teddy. “Wanna play?” I called. His eyes lit up. Soon, he was giggling as we let him ‘win’ by catching the ball. The sun warmed my back, and my irritation melted like ice cream on a summer day.

At sunset, I was on my way back home, tired but no longer in a grumpy mood. Tex swung my hand, chattering about his “basketball skills.” “Sorry I messed up your reading,” he said suddenly. I squeezed his shoulder. “Let’s read together tomorrow, okay?” He nodded, beaming. Later, I found him arranging teddy bears in a circle, whispering, “This is our team.” I smiled, realizing that sometimes, the best stories aren’t in books—they’re in the moments we create.

Unwillingly, I agreed to go to the park with him. Ollie suggested skateboarding, and soon I was flying down the path, wind stinging my cheeks. The rush of speed drowned out my thoughts until I heard a tiny “Wow!” Tex stood by the fence, eyes wide. I skidded to a stop. “Wanna try?” I asked. For the next hour, we wobbled together, Ollie coaching us both. My anger faded, replaced by pride as Tex finally balanced on the board.

At sunset, I was on my way back home, tired but no longer in a grumpy mood. Tex clutched the skateboard, chattering nonstop. “I’m gonna be so good,” he declared. “I’ll teach you next time,” I teased. Later, he whispered, “You’re my favorite teacher.” My throat tightened.Outside, his paper airplanes fluttered in the wind—reminders that sometimes, the best interruptions lead to the best memories.

Unwillingly, I agreed to go to the park with him. When we arrived at the park, Ollie handed me the basketball and challenged me to a game of one-on-one. At first, I was not in the mood, but Ollie kept on encouraging me. As we dribbled and shot the ball, I found myself slowly getting into the game. Focusing on it, I began to feel a glimmer of joy and excitement. After a while, we were both laughing and enjoying ourselves. The fresh air, the laughter, and the joy of playing basketball made us forget about the time.

At sunset, I was on my way back home, tired but no longer in grumpy mood. When I entered the house, Tex looked up at me with eager eyes, yet hesitated to approach. “Hey, buddy.” I smiled at him, ruffling his hair. “How about reading the story to you before bedtime?” Tex’s eyes lit up, and he nodded excitedly. That night, Tex climbed onto my bed once again, snuggling up beside me, content to listen to the story quietly. I couldn’t help but feel grateful for Ollie, who helped lift me out of my negative emotion and allowed me to enjoy the moment.
