I am Li Hua, chairman of the Student Union. I am writing to invite your school to take part in our school’s upcoming Dragon Boat Race from May25th to 30th on the Pearl River in Shamian, Guangzhou.

The event is a fantastic opportunity for our schools to develop closer ties in to promote cultural exchange. The annual Dragon Boat Festival is one of china's most important cultural events, communicating the ancient poet Qu Yuan, who drowned himself after being falsely accused of corruption. It will provide students the chance to learn from each other, improve their boating skills and promote friendship.

We know that Cambridge High School has an outstanding boating team and would love you to take part. We’d appreciate hearing from your reply before April 15th.

I am Li Hua, chairman of the Student Union. I am writing to invite your school to this year's Dragon Boat Race series here in Guangzhou . The race series takes place from 25th to 30 th May at Shamian Island, one of our city’s most beautiful areas.

Besides having an excellent rowing team , I am told your school has a great interest in Chinese culture. So your participation will be of great value to your school’s students. It will allow them to experience one of China's most  traditional festivals, commemorating an important figure from our history. They’ll also enjoy the many colorful activities and delicious foods that are part of the festival.
